WILPF US Board Meeting by teleconference will take place Tuesday, Nov. 17, 5:30 pm (Pacific time) / 8:30 pm (Eastern time). Members are welcome to join along with the board members on the call. California WILPF members left the September 19 cluster meeting energized to work on state legislation, national issues and connecting with international ideals. Forty-five women from eight branches brought questions, proposals and experience to the gathering hosted by the San Jose Branch.

Cathy and Alex Deppe of Los Angeles WILPF joined hands with Japanese peace activists during conferences commemorating the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and members of the Boston Branch brought a message of solidarity to the consulate in Boston.

As of this writing enough Senators say they will vote in support of the Iran Deal to keep the US a part of this potentially momentous agreement. Some legislators are already under tremendous pressure to change their votes.
