Rights of Nature
Published on June, 21 2012The Rights of Nature movement considers that we are all part of Mother Earth, an indivisible, living community of interrelated and inter-dependent beings with a common destiny. It acknowledges that Mother Earth is the source of life and nourishment and that exploitation, abuse and contamination have caused great destruction, degradation and disruption of Mother Earth putting all life as we know it today at risk. The Rights of Nature establishes the legal basis for protecting our planet and such laws recognize the authority of people, communities and governments to defend these rights. Read more...
