Save These Important Dates!

March and April are all about celebrating WILPF’s 110th Anniversary. Put these dates on your calendar NOW!

We’re inviting Midwest members and branches to come to Chicago on the weekend of March 22-23 for events to kick off our 110th Anniversary.

There will be an in-person Meet & Greet Lunch with our new Executive Director, Linda Low, on Sunday, March 23.

There will also be a spectacular virtual event EVERYONE can attend on April 28

We ask you to start NOW to spread the word and ensure you and all your friends and allies know they are invited!

Below are all the details for these events. If you or someone in your branch will attend this informal Chicago meetup, please RSVP by Feb. 28.

We’re also urging branches to use this historic moment during a turbulent time in America to increase local visibility, conduct outreach, and recruit new members! There is a menu of options below for how you can plan NOW to get involved in April and for the rest of 2025.

If you are interested in participating in a short-term 110th Anniversary Committee tasked with helping promote these events and plan for your location, contact Jeneve Brooks at wilpfus.jenevebrooks@gmail.com.

Kick Off Your Branch’s 110th Anniversary Celebration!

Let’s use this historic milestone to make WILPF more visible, grow our movement, and have fun doing it!

Here are some creative ways your branch can celebrate during 2025:

Meet “Jane Addams”–life-size!

  • Take selfies with a life-size cutout of Jane at your branch celebration!
  • Bring Jane to meet local officials and share WILPF’s legacy.
  • Visit a college campus and ask: “Who is the next Jane Addams?”
  • Host a Jane Addams Peace Association Book reading at a local school.
  • Give a library talk on Jane Addams’ contributions to peace.
  • Throw a Sunday Social with cake, candles, and a celebration of WILPF’s history! Invite the whole community, including your allies!
  • Snap a fun branch photo with Jane and share it in our eNews!

Let’s honor 110 years of fearless feminist activism and inspire the next generation!

How will YOUR branch celebrate? Let’s make history together!
