County Branch on March 8!

The CA Humboldt County WILPF Branch is excited to share a few updates about our work:
- We continue to work with Centro del Pueblo, a local immigrant rights group. We spoke to the county’s Board of Supervisors to encourage reaffirmation of the county’s sanctuary law. We are excited to share that the Board reaffirmed its commitment to sanctuary protections!
- We look forward to celebrating International Women’s Day in March. Our branch is sponsoring a sing-along on March 5 as part of a week-long festival celebrating women. Our annual International Women’s Day celebration will take place on March 8 and will be co-sponsored by Centro del Pueblo. The event will feature dancing from local dance groups, music, and speakers on immigrant rights. Learn more about both of these events.
- We are accepting applications from locals for our annual peace and justice grant program. We hope to raise more money for the program during our sing-along event on March 5.
