Linda’s career as a social worker was focused on understanding, intervening, and providing therapy services to children, individuals, and families who were experiencing or had experienced violence. She is an advocate of trauma-informed care and appreciates having participated in the transition from “What Is Wrong with You” to “What Happened to You.” Grounded in a spiritual framework of Unitarian Universalist and Buddhism she aligns well with movements of change based on values of Love, Nonviolence, Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Transformation. As she engages in taking action she often reflects on the phrase “Transforming human supremacy / domination into reciprocal relationships with the earth and all living beings.” She appreciates identifying as a Feminist Force for Peace and of the opportunity to be a member and an administrative assistant for WILPF. Linda holds a master’s degree in social work from the University of Iowa, and a BA in Sociology with a certificate in Social Work from the University of Northern Iowa.
