More than 50 years after the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., racial justice continues to be something we experience only in a dream. How do we disrupt the racism that is so embedded in US society?

On March 28 we will continue discussion of the 2016 book, White Rage: The Unspoken Truth of Our Racial Divideby Carol Anderson. Chapter One of the book has lesser-known and crucial information about the Civil War and Reconstruction periods that you will want to read. The March 28 discussion may include a short review of that first chapter but the group will focus on Chapter Two: Derailing the Great Migration (the post-WWI migration of African Americans from the southern to the northern states).

The group meets by phone and optional website connection on the fourth Thursday of each month, starting at 5 PM Pacific Standard Time (PST) / 8 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST).
