Vision-Power-Unstoppable Awards presented to WILPF’s own Ellen Thomas  and  investigative journalist Lisa Graves.

WILPF US Leader Ellen Thomas spent many years camped outside the White House, in a tent year-round, to promote the message that nuclear weapons threaten all life on this planet and should be abolished.   She has championed the Treaty for the Prevention of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW) and tirelessly campaigned to end the whole nuclear era, noting that nuclear waste threatens to pollute our country and endanger future generations.

Lisa Graves has tirelessly reported on the Koch Brothers as an example of oligarchs’ systematic purchase of resources and politicians, and their corrupt bribery and graft among Supreme Court Justices and elected officials at all levels of government. Lisa was included in Nancy MacLean’s book Democracy In Chains and has been an outspoken critic of oligarchs taking over every aspect of our civic and community life, as well as our government.  She has been an expert witness in Congressional hearings and continues to bird dog elected officials and sniff out corruption.

Guest appearances by Emma’s Revolution, spoken word artist Britt Nicole, & composer/singer Lea Morris.

This is a fundraiser for WILPF US. Suggested donation at registration with sliding scale so everyone can join!
